Rules and Regulations

Competition Rules:

  1. Participants must be secondary school students aged between 13 to 16 (born in 2005-2008)。

  2. Event will be held as competition between school teams. Each team will comprise 3 to 4 students and 1 school instructor, who will help with the design, building and verifying the solution. All team members must be from the same school. If any of team member is to be changed after submitting the application, the school instructor has to send in this request to the work committee for approval.

  3. By 14th Jan, 2022, the school instructor must have set up an account with Cisco Network Academy (if not, organizer will set up the instructor account). Students must have completed and passed the MC quiz of Introduction to IoT (chapter 1).

  4. Each student can only participate in one team. Each school can send in more than one team.

  5. The competition will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1, the teams will propose an innovative IoT solution to resolve everyday problems.

Phase 2(Cancelled) , the teams will use a variety of IoT hardware to realize their design concept while addressing use-case and Go-To-Market of the product.

  1. All entries must be originals, they must not contain plagiarism and must not infringe on 3rd party Intellectual Property. All the text, music, images and design in the submitted work should not violate any copyrights law.

  2. Organizer has the right to use the entries and may display, modify or replicate the works for educational purposes.

  3. The organizer holds the final right to amend the regulations and arrangement for the competition.
